MRI Software Accelerates Platform Growth, Continues to Develop Browser-Based Solution

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) August 01, 2011

MRI Software announced the July 29 release of MRI Property Management 4.2, a major cross-market software release that will deliver significant new functionality and progresses the evolution of MRI’s software platform.

Clients on MRI’s browser-based software, MRI Web, will gain efficiency with a variety of enhancements to the Bank Reconciliation user experience, including more robust filter functionality, clearer error messages and labels, and the replication of all MRI Windows reports and functionality in MRI Web. Commercial Management clients on MRI Web will be able to use Lockbox, Recoveries and Expense Pool Setup in MRI Web. Residential Management clients will enjoy a number of enhancements to Statement of Deposit (SODA) functionality, and those with properties in New York State will be able to use DHCR on MRI Web. All these enhancements are delivered in addition to the resolution of more than 120 reported and discovered issues across the product lines.

In addition to delivering new features and functionality, Property Management 4.2 continues the process of consolidating and developing MRI’s software platform, Alloy. By replicating the functionality available in MRI Windows in a browser-based environment, MRI delivers a variety of benefits for all its users, such as:

Significant cost savings: the simplicity of a browser-based solution reduces costs
Easier maintenance and upgrades: eliminates the need for individual desktop deployment
Flexibility: Choose to run modules either in Windows or in a Web browser
Data and formula preservation: the same database is used for both MRI Windows and MRI Web.

“MRI is delivering a new level of functionality with this release– functionality that was developed with significant input from our client base, ” said David Post, MRI’s Chief Executive Officer. “Furthermore, the enhancements to the Alloy platform contained in Property Management 4.2 represent significant progress in the evolution of a continually more reliable and secure software architecture.”

In June, MRI merged the operations of New-York based Workspeed Management, LLC, into its own, further enhancing its SaaS and mobile offerings in preventative maintenance, work order management, asset tracking, and other critical sectors in the property management market.
